The Better Warm Weather Music Playlist

August 03, 2013

When signing up to live in Los Angeles, unbearable traffic is part of the deal. Although this trait of LA living has made me tardy on a number of occasions, in the summer months a few extra minutes tagged on to my ETA is no biggie. There is nothing like opening the sun roof, rolling down the windows and awkwardly car dancing to alleviate some of the bumper to bumper stress. If you're on the 101 and see me bopping my head, be sure to honk and wave hello!

The Real Martha: Happy Birthday!

Today is a bit of a national holiday in my world. Today my idol, my inspiration, the woman I wrote my college essay on is celebrates her birthday. She makes me so proud to be a Barnard woman. Happy birthday Martha!

The Better Book Club: August 2013

August 01, 2013

whistling past the graveyard
As summer is coming to an end, it's time to make sure everyone squeezes in their last minute beach and pool side lounging. Whistling Past the Graveyard by Susan Crandall is a book for you to devour as you soak up the sun (while responsibly wearing sunscreen because melanoma is not a cute look on anyone). People tell me if you like The Help or To Kill a Mockingbird, then this is a must read. Happy August and happy reading!
