I’m all about simply understated, but sometimes bigger really is better. For a person with a wild gummy candy obsession I created the ultimate birthday gift! Of course being around so much candy meant helping myself to all the leftovers. I'm convinced that I developed a full blown cavity in one evening.

The glass jars and scooper were purchased from the container store, and I got the candy from a wonderful boutique candy store in Los Angeles!

The Better Way to Give a Onesie

Last year my favorite faculty member from school moved to the east coast with her husband. I was so sad because it would mean no more chats in-between classes, and there would be no one to bring cookies to. While we don’t talk every day and I do miss her like crazy, yesterday I was so excited to learn that she’s expecting a baby boy. As a big fan of homemade creativity, this was an opportunity to break out my fabric pens and go to town.

The Better Mothers Day Gift

Because I refuse to drop over $100 for an arrangement of flowers, I decided I’d take matters into my own hands to get my mother a great gift without spending my month’s allowance. I went to the Los Angeles flower mart and spent about $35 dollars for these 2 orchids, the vase was given to me by a friend, and the moss was only a couple of dollars. As much as I love my mom, I could not justify $6 for a card, as cute as they were, so I took a few minutes to make a handmade card.
